Arti (Hema Malini) is a kathak dancer engaged to Chandan (Dharmendra). Inder Kumar (Jeetendra) an architect goes to go see Arti's dance rehearsal but meets with a car accident. He manages to escape but not without severe injuries. His uncle wants him to take a break and go off somewhere.<br/>Inder soon meets Arti and falls in love with her, but she has lost her eyesight. He realises that he was responsible for Chandan's death in the car accident. He doesn't tell Arti this, but comes close to her. He gives her support and encourages her to get back to her calling in life, her dance. <br/>Will Arti be successful again? What will happen when she comes to know of Inder's real identity?
