Vijay (Jeetendra) is an advocate and he always fights for the truth. He is married to Sadhna (Sridevi) and lives in her house. Sadhna is daughter of Advocate Chowdhary (Kadar Khan) for when client is everything. Vijay leaves his practice and involves in business. But day by day insult of Vijay by Sadhna and her father make Vijay very uncomfortable and he decides to leave Sadhna’s house and starts practise again. Vijay takes a case of Sandhya (Jaya Prada) who murdered Amrit Lal (Prem Chopra), who was a businessman and held a respectable position in society. Sadhna take case of Amrit Lal murder on behalf of her wife. Now the husband and wife are ignorant each other in court. Sandhya has her own story and Amrit Lal was a crook and murdered Sandhya's father and raped her mother. These incidents had a great impact on Sandhya. In order to take revenge Sandhya murdered Amrit Lal. Sandhya and Vijay win the case and Sadhna realises her guilt and comes back to Vijay.
