Sophisticated dress, dance, music and westernised attitudes cannot hide the basic poverty; money is a problem that perpetually confronts the new generation of city youths from the middle starta of society, and when two young souls fall in love, somehow or other someone has got to raise a lost of money to enable them to see their dreams come true. . " AAO PYAR KAREN" is one such story; a romance that flowers in the city of Bombay when Rakesh one of a group of four moneyless, educated boys falls in love with a girl staying the city, away from her parents. He has to raise money every now and then, first to impress the girl, then to pay her debt and finally to save her life from a dangerous heart disease. His battle is heroic; cast in the mould of true love, his efforts to do everything in the world to save Shalini the girl he loves, will ring a bell in every loving heart, even though often his attempts are farcical and, sometimes, unbelievable. The pursuit of his love not only brings him into conflict with a prince who by virtue of his money holds the girl in his bondage, but also takes him to Europe where a series of colourful adventures have to be lived through before he can finally look into her eyes and say " at last; nothing shall ever part us again !". .
