Sumeet Raghavan is an actor in highly Marathi and Hindi TV Industry/ Hindi Movies. Born on April 22, 1971 to a Tamil Father and a Kannadiga mother. As is the case with most child actors, Sumeet promisingly started his career in 1983 with a serial called "Faster Fene", which was popular character, especially amongst kids. He continued with Marathi theatre for 15 years and got a chance to work with some great producers and productions, like Mr. Mohan Wagh’s Chandralekha, Mr. Prabhakar Panshikar’s Natya Sampada, Mr. Mohan Tondwalkar’s Kalavaibhav, Smt. Lata Narvekar’s Shri Chintamani, and so on.
Alongside he did Marathi and Hindi TV serials like Hudd Kar Di, Shubh Mangal Savadhan, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Ghar Ki Baat Hai, Mahabharat and around 250 Ad films – for esteemed brands like Maruti, HDFC, Aquaguard, Dettol, BRU, ICICI, to name a few.
With all this going on, he’s done films with Ajay Devgan and KajolU, Me Aur Hum, Nandita Das’ Firaaq, with Sharukh Khan My Name is Khan and just completed a film for Vipul Shah, written and directed by Barnali Shukla, starring Rahul Bose, & Shefali Shah titled Kuch Luv Jaisa. And between all this, he learnt Classical Hindustani Music under the guidance of Shri Suresh Wadkar.
