Saumya Tandon (3 November 1984) is an Indian actress. Recently she co-hosted Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout (Based on the Wipeout format) with Shah Rukh Khan in 2011. She was the host for Dance India Dance. She starred in the Imtiaz Ali directed movie Jab We Met, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, where she plays the role of Kareena's sister, Roop. She is also known for her role in the Sony TV aired soap Aisa Des Hai Mera, where she plays the role of a half-Brit girl named Rusty.

She was born on 3 November 1984 and studied until fifth standard in Delhi before completing her schooling at St. Mary's convent in Ujjain. Her father, Dr. B. G. Tandon, was a Professor and Head of the Department of English at Vikram University in Ujjain and was an authority on Shakespearean literature who wrote 17 books on different branches of English literature. She is a poet and collection of self composed poems was published in the form of a book called "Meri Bhavnayein" which was nominated for Modi young writer national award.

Saumya took up modelling assignments early in her career. She has done ad films and have been the first runner-up at a Femina Cover Girl contest. She auditioned for the role of Rusty in Aisa Des Hai Mera in 2005 and got it in early 2006.She is now anchoring a popular reality show on Zee TV called Dance India Dance.

Saumya is also the on ground host of the show Zor Ka Jhatka, which premiered on 1 February 2011. It is the Indian version of one of the biggest international game shows called Wipeout, hugely successful in US and UK. The show is being shot in Buenos Aires with a bunch of Indian television and sports “personalities”. Shahrukh Khan anchors the show from the confines of a closed studio, while Saumya Tandon holds the fort on-location.

Now she is hosting the next edition of comedy circus named comedy circus ke taansen.Which will be judged by Archana Puran Singh and Daler Mehndi.

Saumya made her movie debut in the Imtiaz Ali directed romantic movie Jab We Met, starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. She plays the role of Roop, Kareena's sister. She also acted in a 30 minute festival film produced by a Canadian production house Maya, where she has as her co-star Khalid Siddiqui, who acted in the movie Joggers' Park. Currently she is working in a Punjabi film Welcome to Punjab starring Sarabjit Cheema.

Saumya's appearance as a host of the best ever dancing show Dance India Dance in the history of Indian Tele Industry till year 2010 has rocked the show. Her expressions and humor are just the perfect blend of beauty and mind. Recently she was awarded best anchor on Indian television for 2010.
