Natasha Suri is an Indian beauty pageant winner from Mumbai,India. In 2006 she won the Miss India title and placed in the semifinals in the Miss World contest.Suri places in the 'Top Models' bracket in India. Ethnically she is half Punjabi and half Telugu.
In the Miss World 2006 contest,Suri was a favourite and placed 2nd as "Miss Beautiful Body" and "Miss Best Gown", and as winner of Miss India 2006, won the "Miss Beautiful Smile" and "Miss Personality" categories. She has also won the Navy Queen, Miss Maharashtra title, and Get Gorgeous-I (National model hunt). Suri adjudged the Universal Teen Pageant, succeeding previous judge and former Miss World, Diana Haydon.
Suri debuted as a fashion model at Rome Fashion Week, subsequently modelling at fashion weeks in [Dubai Fashion Week], Sri Lanka,India Fashion Weeks and Lakme Fashion Weeks. In all she has modelled for over 600 fashion shows. She was awarded the "Pillar of Hindustani Society Award" in 2008 for her contributions to the fashion industry.
As a photographic model she has been on magazine covers, and in calendars, product endorsements, and print campaigns. She was photographed for the annual Canon Calendar as one of the 'Most Beautiful Faces of 2006' by ace lensman Atul Kasbekar and was featured within Cosmopolitan magazine.
Suri hosted the TV show Cell Guru on NDTV, and luxury and lifestyle show Velvet on Sahara One.She was a celebrity contestant on the reality show Zor Ka Jhatka(Indian version of the popular waterbased adventure show Wipeout) hosted by Shahrukh Khan.She hosts the stunt based reality show 'Jaanbaaz' on Zee TV with Sunny Deol.She hosted another reality show 'SuperStud' on Bindass with Ashmit Patel. She also participated in the reality show 'The Big Switch', hosted by actress Genelia D'Souza, where celebrities experienced life in slums, and fulfilled the dream of an assigned "slum-buddy".
She was appointed Tourism Ambassador of Mauritius in 2007, receiving the 'Friends of Mauritius' accolade from the country's Deputy Prime Minister, In 2006 the President of Sri Lanka thanked her for her role as an Indian ambassador.
Suri took a bachelor's degree course in business management at Jai Hind College in Mumbai, receiving the "Jai Hind Achievers" alumnus trophy in 2008.She has two sisters who work in the entertainment industry: Rupali Suri (Model/Anchor/Actress) who won the Gladrags MegaModel contest in 2006, and Soniya Suri an actress in Southern India.
