Meera Chopra, known as Nila in the Tamil cinema industry, is a actress in the South Indian movie industry. She did her bachelor's degree from Saginaw Valley State university in Saginaw, Michigan, U.S.. After studying mass communications in New York, Meera worked with a leading national television channel but soon gave it up because she felt she was given a raw deal. Meera Chopra is originally from the modeling world. She is a cousin of Bollywood actresses Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra.
Her first release was in the 2007 film Anbe Aaruyire in which she starred with S. J. Surya. The movie was a big hit and instantly she became a household name in Tamil Nadu. She did her second movie with Pawan Kalyan in Telugu. She achieved further success in the Telugu film industry with her critically acclaimed performance in M. S. Raju's Vaana. She took a break from films in south to handle her fashion business. Chopra will star in Vikram Bhatt's 1920 London with Sandalwood actor Diganth, which marks her Bollywood debut as well. She's also working in Satish Kaushik's upcoming Gangs of Ghosts which is produced by Venus.
