Karishma Tanna is an Indian television and theatre actress. She is well known for her role in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as Indira 'Indu' Gandhi. She also acted in the serial Koi Dil Mein Hain as Krutika.
Karishma's career took off with the popular tele-soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which was her first role in television. She enacts the role of Indu , a chatterbox but with an impish charm. She is always talking and is a source of comic relief in any tense situation. She shares a strong liking for hunks and is always running after guys.
She was also seen in many commercials for reputed brands like Nirma, Lifebuoy, Stayfree, and others. She has played lead roles in the serial Kahin To Milenge, in which she portrayed the character of Tanisha, the rich and pampered girl with a heart of gold.
Then she also appeared in another soap Koi Dil Mein Hain in which her character of Krutika saw a major transformation from a sweet and innocent girl who would do anything for her best friend to a negative one who also plotted the murder of her best friend's husband.
Karishma is presently doing a lot of fashion shows and is waiting for her biggest role where she can show her acting skills. She acted in a Bollywood movie Dosti: Friends Forever which had popular star cast including Bobby Deol and Akshay Kumar. In this movie she played the sister of Bobby Deol.
She is best known for her lead role in Zee Tv's Paalkhi, where she played a young woman caught between two lovers, one to whom she married and one she loved. She has also acted in a few episodes of Virasat as Natasha. Karishma participated in the reality dance show Zara Nachke Dikha and currently she is hosting a reality show on Star One - India's Magic Star. She is also participating in a show - Meethi Choori No. One on Imagine TV. She is also in Raat Hone Ko Hai on Sahara One.Her portrayal of a newly wed woman in 2011 Kannada film titled I Am Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona earned laurels from critics.
