Abhishek Avasthi was born in Kanpur, India. He currently lives in Mumbai, India. He came to Mumbai to become an actor. He, along with Rakhi Sawant, an Indian model and actress participated in the third season of Nach Baliye, a reality television, dance competition on the Star Plus television channel. They were among the top-two finalists and were declared the first runner-up on 22 December 2007. He played the role of Maninders Singh, Bauji’s second son in the television series Jugni Chali Jalandhar on SAB TV, launched on 29 September 2008. He appeared in Zara Nach Ke Dikha on Star plus.
