Director Milan Luthra is ready to invest an additional 1 crore for the set designing. According to the latest update, the director is planning to showcase the grandness of the city with mini Mumbai in the sequel of Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai. The set will introduce all the iconic landmarks like Chor Bazaar, Khau Gali, Mutton Street and Mohammed Ali Road. Actually Milan wants to capture the real 70’s and 80’s metropolitan city but the security reasons restrict him to do so. The set is specially designed for some scenes like a qawwali song picturising Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, a thrilling bike race and a major climax scene.

Luthra says the set is a result of months of research, “If you watch my last few films, I have always been particular about the look of the settings. And also, what is important is that since 2009 (when he shot Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai), things have changed a lot. The population has increased and people have become more active on the Internet revealing shooting details on social networking sites. So I am paranoid about all this and have roped in heavy security to guard the look, in addition to making sure of the actors’ security”. The director sharing more about the set says, “The set will have around 40-odd building and five to six restaurants. We are going to shoot elaborate songs and action sequences. With wide streets and lot of old-looking buildings, it gives a feel of Mumbai.”
