The ‘Aarakshan’ cast Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone will appear as special guests on the fifth season of the game show “Kaun Banega Crorepati", which starts off August 15 with megastar Amitabh Bachchan as the host. Amitabh posted on his blog that in many ways, the philosophy of the film and that of ‘KBC’ is quite similar. Given opportunity, even the lesser privileged shall prosper. Or at least have the capacity to prosper. However, Mumbai rains played spoilsport, as the production unit had to stall the shooting of the show several times due to the noise of the rain. Saif had previously appeared with actress Preity Zinta in the second season of the show, while Deepika came as a guest in 2010 although she didn't play.

Incidentally, the movie fulfills the long cherished desire of Prateik who wanted to accomplish something when he started working as an actor and that was to work opposite Deepika Padukone. The actor has always been in awe of Dippy and now he's worked with her in Prakash Jha's ‘Aarakshan’. However, his dream was to romance her, in ‘Aarakshan’ it's Saif who romances her and not Prateik. Jha's ‘Aarakhshan’ is a film about reservation in colleges and all the cast played college professors. The film is all set to release on August 12.
