IPL6: May the best team win, says Akshay Kumar

Dubbing himself and his "Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again" co-actors Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan "great fans of the Indian Premier League", Bollywood's "Khiladi" Akhshay Kumar refused to take sides as defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders clashed with Delhi Daredevils in the first game of IPL-6 at the Eden Gardens here Wednesday. "Whenever I go to watch a match I always say may the best team win and that is what will happen tonight. This is the Indian Premier League so it is basically all the Indian sense," Akshay Kumar said at a media conference to promote his forthcoming release "Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again (OUATIMA) at the Taj Bengal hotel here Wednesday. "We are all great fans of IPL so we are here just to promote our film as well as watch IPL,"he added about the film slated for a August 8 release.

Best known for films like the "Khiladi" series, "Hera Phera" series, "Bhool Bhullaiya" and the recent "Special 26", Akshay Kumar will be next seen in a role based on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in Milan Luthria's OUATIMA, a sequel to the original. Giving him company will be actors Imran Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonali Bendre. Sporting a white tee with "Once Upon A Time In IPL" written in black, Akshay Kumar said watching a match at Eden Gradens is an experience. "We have just come here because it's a big thing - the first day of IPL. It's a different experience, you will get an experience as watching a match at Eden Gardens," he said. "I have got some Australian friends who have played cricket here before and have never had such an experience anywhere in the world," he added. OUATIMA is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
