He might have been the first Indian origin singer to reach the top 40 in popular musical reality show American Idol, but did you know US born Gupreet Singh Sarin, also follows Bollywood and its music.
"I love Bollywood and I love watching Bollywood films. My favourite film of all times is Veer Zara and I absolutely loved SRK's (Shah Rukh Khan's) performance in that film. I think he was amazing," the 22-year-old told us over the phone from Los Angeles, adding, "Among singers in Bollywood, I love and respect Sonu Nigam. I think he is just brilliant."

He might have got eliminated from the list of Top 20 of Season 12 of the American reality show that airs on BIG CBS Love, but Sarin is vying to return with full force next year. "I will (return) as I'll work harder on my singing and I'm determined to come back stronger next season," says the singer, who can play a host of musical instruments. "I know how to play guitars, sitar, tabla, mandarin and the bass guitar, but my favourites are the guitar and tabla," says Sarin, adding, "I've been into music ever since I was a kid. I have been learning classical music as well."
