It has been seven years since Anil Kapoor's production Gandhi My Father bagged three National Awards, but his passion for Gandhi has not ebbed. The actor-producer now wants to delve deeper into the life of the Mahatma and has already taken the first big step by registering eleven different titles, all related to Gandhi. Says an excited Anil, "I wanted to make a film on the Mahatma ever since I first watched Sir Richard Attenborough's Gandhi. My dream came true with Gandhi My Father. It was something that gave me the satisfaction that I couldn't find in all the years I spent as an actor.
It also inspired me to explore the other sides of the great leader." The titles, which are registered under the banner of Anil Kapoor Productions include: Gandhi Virudh Gandhi, Gandhi and Gandhi, Mahatma Virudh Gandhi, among others. Anil says his team of writers are working on the titles and will start working on the project soon. "I know my responsibility when I am trying to make a film on such a sensitive subject and also know that I cannot take any risks, but one thing is sure, I will make a film that will do full justice to the Father of the Nation," he says.
