turned Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu will walk the ramp with her mother at the India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) that started on Sunday.
"Walking the ramp today (Sunday) with my mother for the first time, for Gitanjali in association with Beti, against female foeticide," Bipasha posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.
The opening ceremony of IIJW will see about 40 celebrities from film, television, business, fashion and music walking the ramp with their daughters in aid of Beti, a campaign against female foeticide supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
It has also been reported that actor Kabir Bedi will walk with his granddaughter Aaliyah. Actress Avika Gor of ‘Balika Vadhu’ fame is also expected to walk with her father. Fashion designers, Neeta Lulla will walk with her daughter Nishka.
Sonam Kapoor, who is the new face of IIJW, will also be seen gracing the occasion. "Leaving for iijw. Its going to be fantastic, creative and filled with beautiful jewellery," she tweeted. The five-day event is organised by the Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).
