It all started with a harmless interview for the remake of Chashme Buddoor in Deepti Naval’s Andheri Apartment and now it has been blown out of proportion into a prostitution racket thanks to a few hot headed members of her housing society and insensitive media reports. From what we hear, the actress was interacting with the media along with her Chashme Buddoor co-star, Farooq Sheikh when some members of her society barged into the scene and forbade her to continue with what they thought was a movie shoot.

If this wasn’t enough, she also received a call from the society’s secretary threatening her to call the police that led her to cancel all her interviews besides leaving her completely embarrassed. To top it all, when Deepti shared this incident with a journalist friend, it got reported with a ‘I’m not running a prostitution racket’ headline which was picked up and distorted by other publications to sound like she was actually running a prostitution racket. With her reputation at stake, the actress is mulling over whether or not to take legal action against the print media.
