Bollywood actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar, who has been in the industry for a long time now, had to face the wrath of the residents of his housing society when he tried to prevent water wastage during Holi celebrations yesterday. In an attempt to stop water wastage by the residents of Versova in Mumbai, Amrapurkar informed a local TV channel about the ‘rain dance’ at Panchavati building in his neighbourhood and requested the channel to shoot the happening to keep a record of the malpractice.
But things went awry when the residents ‘enjoying’ the rain dance took objection to the shoot and “thrashed the cameraperson and stole the video.” Even Amrapurkar, who was present at the venue, was pushed and threatened. The police have recorded the statements given by Amrapurkar, the channel’s camera-person and have also registered a case against five people responsible for the misdeed.
