A star-studded night is awaiting the city of Kolkata as Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, gorgeous actress Katrina Kaif and international rapper Pitbull are gearing up to set the stage on fire on April 2 at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League’s sixth edition. The entertaining combo pack of the sizzling performers will mark the beginning of another journey of the short version of cricket in India, which will start from April 3.

SRK, who owns the Kolkata Knight Riders team in partnership with actress Juhi Chawla, seems to be overjoyed to perform at the ceremony as he is still in the celebrating mood post his last year’s much-awaited victory. A source said, "SRK loves the city of joy and he is already very excited to perform there. Katrina will be performing there for the first time." Pitbull, who is a name known internationally for his M.I.M.A.I., Armando and Planet pit, is also said to be quite excited about the opportunity. "When Pitbull was told that he is being invited to perform at the opening ceremony of IPL and SRK would also be performing as well, he agreed to come within minutes," a source confirmed.
