Manoj Kumar to take legal action against OSO makers
While the whole world celebrated the success of the reincarnation drama in the Farah Khan flick Om Shanti Om, the one person who was not happy with the film was the veteran actor-filmmaker Manoj Kumar, because he did not like the way he was 'portrayed' (read 'spoofed') in the film. He had even got a court order asking for the objectionable scenes to be deleted before the film's satellite screening. Even though makers promised Kumar about the deletion of the said scene during the satellite release, the controversy died after few days. But the present day status is that Manoj Kumar's wounds seem to be renewed with the film now being released in Japan.

And this time round, Manoj Kumar is in a non-forgiving mood, because he had expected the makers to delete the objectionable scene from the film, which the makers have still retained. Kumar said that he is very disappointed and that his solicitors are looking into this. Talking about the situation, the film's director Farah Khan said that though she was in Japan for the premiere, she didn't see the film. She added that they had deleted Manoj's scenes six years ago and that if some old print was sent overseas then, she can't be held responsible for that.
