Bollywood actor Vidya Balan who played fabulous Silk in Milan Luthria's Dirty picture and joined the brigade of Bollywood's sexy sirens, is now a case study for lecturers at the institute of Mumbai. The film also starred Emraan Hashmi, Tusshar Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah. As per the sources, her role in The Dirty Picture has started a new trend as she represent a sex siren in the film and now Silk has become a case study for lecturers at Tata Institute of Social Science in Mumbai. An insider said that her character Silk Smitha has popped up several eyes and everyone was overwhelmed by the way she carried her role.

 

Vidya won National Award for the film, is excited that her character will be discussed by academics as she revealed, "The Dirty Picture will always be amongst the films I'm extremely proud of. I found it liberating to play Silk, a woman who was unapologetic about her sexuality and the choices she makes." Her dialogue in the film "Picture sirf teen cheezon se chalti hain, entertainment, entertainment, entertainment, aur main entertainment hu" was a superb punch in the film, Silk was the entertainment in the movie but now she is a subject for case study.
