One of the megastars of Bollywood Aamir Khan has grown a year older as he turns 48 today. He is one of the few Bollywood actors who stars in one film a year, assuring it would be one of the most talked about films in the B-town. His latest release Talaash was a smash hit and Aamir Khan’s fan-club is eagerly looking forward to his upcoming release the much-awaited Dhoom 3, which is expected to hit screens this year. Born in a filmy family in 1965 on this day, Aamir Khan followed his family tradition and debuted as a child actor in Yaadon Ki Baaraat in 1973. And in 1988, he shot to fame and stardom with his first successful commercial movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.

And thereafter, he never looked back as he kept on giving some outstanding performances in films like Raja Hindustani, Sarfarosh, Lagaan, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots and the latest one Talaash, to name a few. Not only as an actor, but he also shone in his career as a talented director and producer as well. Apart from several Filmfare Awards and National Film Awards, the actor also received a Padma Shri in 2003 and Padma Bhushan in 2010. The actor also made a mark in the world of television with his social issue based talk show Satyamev Jayte which received strong public support from the society.
