Salman Khan has asked the filmmakers of his forthcoming film 'Bodyguard' to scrap the much talked about role of the bodyguard's father for which he had approached Sanjay Dutt
Salman Khan had his heart set on Sanjay Dutt to play his onscreen daddy in 'Bodyguard' as he wanted the presence of someone tough and macho for the role and someone whom he looks up to even in real life and Sanju fitted the bill. But Salman might not have dreamt in his wildest dreams that his friend Sanju baba would lose his cool when he offered him his father's role in the movie. Dutt, who still dons hero role, got angry when Salman asked him to play the role of his father in 'Bodyguard'.
After the fight they had at Maanyata Dutt's birthday bash, there were talks that Jackie Shroff would play Salman's dad in 'Bodyguard' but those were just speculations. Sallu remained adamant on having only Sanju to play his father in the film and felt that if Sanju doesn't do it, no one else should either.
Sanjay Dutt even told the media that he was not old enough to play Salman's dad. Salman was really upset after hearing this as he didn't expect Dutt to get this upset or feel insulted on being offered the role. He wasn't expecting such a negative reaction from Sanju and was really hurt. He finally decided to do away the main bone of contention and asked the makers of 'Bodyguard' to remove the role of the character that was offered to Dutt as it created so much stress between them.
