All the speculation about Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol coming together in a film after their ugly spat can finally come to an end. The two recently met and agreed to do Fateh Singh together where Sunny will essay the role of a sardaar yet again. Incidentally, the actor was scheduled to do the film earlier but was replaced by Sanjay Dutt owing to date problems. However, the film is now all set to roll in mid-2013 with Sunny being back in the project.
The filmmaker and the actor have been the best of friends and have even done several blockbusters together like Ghayal, Ghatak and Damini. However, the duo fell apart in early 2000 when both started making films on the subject of Bhagat Singh. The rivalry took an ugly turn when they wanted to release their films on the same day. A source said, "Post that the duo decided not to work with each other, only to patch up a couple of years back. Ever since then, they had been planning to work together but have now finally decided on the project." Sources from Sunny's office said that talks are definitely on but nothing has been finalised yet. Rajkumar Santoshi said, "I won't deny that we are talking about the possibility of working together again. But it is too early to comment and nothing has been decided yet."
