They say whatever happens, happens for the good. But wonder what good is in store for actor Sonu Sood, who had to withdraw from Apoorva Lakhia’s ‘Zanjeer’ remake following a major injury. Sood, who suffered multiple leg fracture during a celebrity cricket match, has been advised complete bed rest for the next six weeks. The ‘Dabangg’ baddie had no choice but to agree to be replaced by someone else as Sher Khan in Telugu actor Ram Charan’s Bollywood debut flick.
Reportedly, before zeroing in on Sood as Sher Khan, Sanjay Dutt was also being considered for the role. But Sood was taken on board as Dutt had few dates to give to the makers. Source said, “Apparently, Sonu was completely agreeable to the replacement idea. Apu (Apoorva Lakhia) is taking Ramcharan Teja’s help to find a major replacement. Ram will speak to one of his A-lister colleagues to step into the picture.” We would have loved to see Sonu play Sher Khan, but here’s wishing the very talented actor a speedy recovery.
