In the recent years, many movies from South have been remade in Bollywood. And likewise, a few Hindi films are getting ready for the South remakes. After Delhi Belly and Dabangg, now yet another hit film from B-Town is coming to Tamil film industry. Well, the latest arrival is none other than Akshay Kumar starrer Special 26.
N Lingusamy has purchased the Tamil remake rights of Special 26. The filmmaker tells that he liked the movie a lot and he believes that the Kollywood audience too would love the flick. It is an engaging film for which he is yet to finalise the cast. The Vettai director is joining hands with the Bollywood studio, which made the original version. Special 26 is a heist film directed by Neeraj Pandey. Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Jimmy Shergill, Manoj Bajpai, Anupam Kher and Divya Dutta are in the cast. The film is inspired in a real-life heist on March 19, 1987 where a group posing as CBI officers executed an income tax raid on the Opera House branch of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri in Mumbai.
