Neha Sharma on her aspirations, style quotient and Gujarati food in a chat with TOI. Petite beauty, Neha Sharma is the new starlet in B-Town who surprises you with her honest outlook on her struggles in Bollywood. Neha, who made her debut with Emraan Hashmi in Crook and made a special appearance in Teri Meri Kahaani, got herself noticed in Kya Super Cool Hai Hum. Her last flick Jayantabhai ki Luv Story however, has not been able to make it well at the BO. This, however does not deter this pretty lady from dreaming about more greasepaint. "I am proud of the choices I have made. And yes, it is a big struggle because when your movie does not work, it becomes difficult to get another film. Nobody believes in you till you have a hit run at the BO. It is very unfortunate that unless you are a star, nobody considers you in B-Town.For instance, my co-star Vivek Oberoi is a great actor and very talented and it is not necessary that you work only with a star," says Neha.

For someone who belonged to a small town like Bhagalpur and lived in Delhi and then shifted to Mumbai, Neha feels that it is all about meeting the right casting directors. She says, "Even after four films, I am struggling to meet the big directors and haven't found luck with them. There are these few 4-5 casting directors who hold auditions for movies and we go and try our luck with them. So I would like to tell young strugglers in B-Town that do not waste your time meeting the middle men who promise a lot of things and do endless discussions and waste your time. Be patient, believe in yourself and meet the right people."With too much pressure on actresses to look good at red carpet events, Neha agrees that though she has not done enough red carpet events there are women stressing about how they are going to look and what they should wear at events.

She says, "It's okay to wear stylish dresses but it becomes too much when you try to fit into those 8 or 9 inch heels and women pushing their limits to look trendy. You have to be comfortable to be stylish." With 3-4 films and a career in modeling, Neha explains the designer watch indulgence on her pretty arm is a result of someone giving her a gift and not because she is earning well. She says, "When you are in your initial stages of a career in films, filmmakers say, be happy that you got a chance to work here. So modeling is definitely lucrative than films at the moment. But yes, if I make a good career, I would like to be an entrepreneur some day and start my own restaurant and clothing line." Talking of restaurants, Neha recalls how she loved the Gujarati food in Ahmedabad. On a parting note she says, "Till now, I felt Delhi offers the best food in the country, but I really enjoyed the variety in food here."
