Bollywood actor, producer and director Randhir Kapoor turned 66 years of age on Saturday. Randhir Kapoor hails from the legendary Kapoor family and is the eldest son of Raj Kapoor. He made his acting and directorial debut on the silver screen with KAL AAJ AUR KAL in 1971 which also starred his wife Babita, father Raj Kapoor and grandfather Prithiviraj Kapoor. The film was produced under the R.K banner and was an average success.
After his debut performance he tasted commercial success with three consecutive hits JEET, RAAMPUR KA LAKSHMAN and JAWANI DIWANI (1972). Randhir also delivered commercial hits with films like KHALIFA, AAJ KA MAHAATMA, BHANWAR, RAM BHAROSE, DHONGEE AND HIS MULTI-STAR FILMS LIKE CHACHA BHATIJA (1977), KASME VAADE (1978) MAMA BHANJA, HEERALAL PANNALAL, DHYANU BHAGAT ALSO KNOWN AS BHAKTI MEIN SHAKTI, CHOR KE GHAR CHOR, AND BIWI-O-BIWI: THE FUN-FILM.
In 2010 he returned to films with a role in HOUSEFULL 2 and ACTION REPLAYY. He has recently acted alongside his brother Rishi Kapoor in HOUSEFULL 2 which was a blockbuster in 2012. Randhir Kapoor is married to actress Babita and is the father of Bollywood actresses Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.
