Taking a cue from the I-forgot-my-pants look or the knickers trend that has been doing rounds of the international celeb-fashion circuit recently, we spotted our Bollywood divas, too, rocking this look. The ‘no pants’ look has found willing takers in Hollywood actors Miley Cyrus, Jessica Simpson and singers Rihanna and Rita Ora, who were recently seen wearing over-sized shirts or T-shirts with apparently no lowers. Now, Bollywood’s top girls, Anushka Sharma, Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif, have also joined the knickers bandwagon with bottom skimming shorts.

“Young Bollywood actors have great bodies and are in a super fit state, so they can go for such a look. It gives an edgy twist to casual, and you don’t have to work too hard to rock the look. You don’t even need makeup or too much of styling with such a look. It makes you super sexy and picture-worthy in a jiffy,” says designer Rina Dhaka. “I think its a cool androgynous meets modern chic with a dash of sexy,” says designer Gaurav Gupta. Experts say the right way to work the look is by teaming a boyfriend blazer or an over-sized sweater with your T-shirt to stay warm, or ape the Bollywood knickers trend of teaming short shorts with large-sized tops. “You can experiment by adding a pretty brooch to your blazer or opting for a shirt with golden collar tips with a chain interlinking them,” says designer Nida Mehmood.
