Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is known for establishing self as an individual identity in the industry, in spite of hailing from an entertainment family. With blockbusters like Rockstar and Barfi! it took him no time to reach amongst the A-listers. These achievements have obviously gave him enough experience to have his list of do's and don'ts. One of them is that Kapoor absolutely does not believe in doing multi-starrer films. Lately, he turned down director-producer Karan Johar's offer just because of the bunch of star cast in it. Well refusing Dharma Productions indeed means that the young actor is very rigid with his rules. Ranbir also fails to trust remakes of old hits.

He has been approached for a number of remakes but people have failed to impress him. His belief is so staunch that he even said a no to his parents' 1975 hit Khel Khel Mein remake when his darling director Ayaan Mukerjee asked him to play lead. Another reason for denial was because he didn't want any comparison between him and his father Rishi Kapoor. He also said a no to Siddharth Anand's proposal for doing remake of Tom Cruise's action flick Knight & Day. A source close to the actor revealed, "Even after the miserable box-office performance of their film together Anjaana Anjaani Ranbir was ready to work with Siddharth Anand again. However Ranbir was dead against doing a remake, and that too of a flop Hollywood film. Siddharth then went to Shahid Kapoor for Knight & Day. Now the project is with Hrithik Roshan."
