Stuck in rush-hour SoBo traffic, the actor hopped into a Churchgate -bound train to reach his set on time. He may have bought a swank new car for himself. But Ranveer Singh realised, like every other Mumbaikar, it pays to remain grounded. It was while shooting for Gunday, that the actor found himself stuck in south-bound traffic from his suburban home. After sending 45 long minutes in bumper-to-bumper traffic, he decided to get off the car and take a train instead.

A source told us, "Gunday's shoot was scheduled for 9am on Friday in town. Ali had reached way before time. And while Ranveer too had left early from his Khar residence, he just could not negotiate the office-hour traffic near Mahalaxmi." Rather than to keep his director Ali Abbas Zafar waiting, Ranveer hopped out of the car, walked to Mahalaxmi station and hopped onto the next available train. Needless to say, his presence caused quite a stir in the crowded compartment. We believe, the judicious and timely switch to public transport saved Ranveer's director plenty of time and helped me earn a few fans on the sets as well. Incidentally Ranveer's car reached the spot 40 minutes after he had arrived.
