Actress Vidya Balan ended 2012 in the happiest way possible by marrying UTV head Siddharth Roy Kapur and 2013 has also proved spectacular so far. Vidya has been sweeping award season this year - her fourth year in a row - for her performance as a pregnant woman in search of her husband in Kahaani. However, Vidya's Best Actress wins this year have surprised most industry insiders who expected the prize to go to Sridevi who made a stunning comeback in English Vinglish. Vidya has scooped up the Best Actress awards in 2010, 2011 and 2012 for Paa, Ishqiya and The Dirty Picture.

This year, Sridevi was tipped as the hot favourite among a bunch of strong contenders that included Priyanka Chopra in Barfi, Deepika Padukone in Cocktail and Kareena Kapoor in Talaash. It would seem, given the statistics, that Bollywood cannot see beyond Vidya Balan when it comes to female performances. But will marriage put a twist in Vidya's Kahaani? The actress says not: "I am an actor and I am married are two different things. Both of us (Siddharth and I) respect each other and our work."
