Sudhir Mishra's much-anticipated Arjun Rampal-Chitrangadha Singh starrer Inkaar has turned out to be a mixed bag at the box office. The film opened with a mixed response from critics but the multiplex audiences have liked the film.

Inkaar makes an average Rs 5.51 crores in opening weekend

The film has managed to collect Rs 1.47 crore on its opening day followed by Rs 1.79 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.25 crore on Sunday making its weekend total Rs 5.51 crore. On the other hand Sachiin Joshi's Mumbai Mirror stands below R 65 lakh in its opening weekend. Bandook proved to be a disaster at the box office. On the other hand, last week's Matru Ki Bijli ka Mandola is another average fare with the second weekend collecting around Rs 4.75 crore and the 10-day total coming to Rs 35.22 crore.

Trade analyst Amod Mehra says, "Inkaar did not open well in its opening two days but Sunday was slightly better. The audiences were expecting it to be a film on sexual harassment and were disappointed that it was a love story. The audiences were confused and that's why they did not like the film. On the other hand Mumbai Mirror was as good as not being released. It is a box office disaster. Matru Ki Bijli... is on its way out." Atul Mohan, trade expert says, "Inkaar could have been much better. The audience had huge expectations in terms of the content of the film. Bandook misfired at the box office and Mumbai Mirror turned out to be an error. Both Bandook and Mumbai Mirror are a washout. Now all eyes are on Abbas-Mustan's next."
