The recent reports about veteran photographer Jagdish Mali walking in tattered clothes on the streets of Mumbai got Salman mighty upset. "We were strugglers when Jagdish was famous for doing photo shoots with superstars," he said. Though Salman personally couldn’t come to Jagdish’s rescue, he did make a few phone calls to his men, who bailed the photographer out of the mess. The star is now livid at Jagdish’s daughter and actress Antara Mali who claimed that her father was well looked after.
"When your father is out walking on the streets of Mumbai starving to death and without clothes, how can he be well looked after? You have to be delusional to say and believe that," said Salman. Speaking at a press conference on the plans for his charity, Being Human, he insisted that it doesn’t need funds from people in the industry. "A certain portion from my salary and my brothers’ too, goes to the charity every month. The stores make enough money to keep the charity funds going. In the past, Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Sanjay Dutt have donated to Being Human. But now I wouldn’t want to ask anyone for charity. However if people want to donate I won’t stop them," said Salman.
