The makers of the latest Sanjay Dutt starrer a remake of the Tamil blockbuster Saamy, are extremely happy with their hero. The film's leading man Sanjay Dutt shows up for the current schedule of the film in Chennai every morning at 10 am to shoot all through the day until 7.30 pm.
No more films for friendship. No more over-indulgence. Beginning with his career Sanjay Dutt has resolved to sweep clean his entire domain of existence right up to his home where we believe, radical changes have been ordered. At the workplace, Dutt is now going all-out to ensure Saamy is his big comeback ticket for 2013 when the film opens in May. No stone is being left unturned to ensure the Dutt's cop act turns out just right. According to sources close to Dutt the actor, he has gone on a strict diet regime which includes a serious cut-down in the intake of carbohydrates and alcohol.
Saamy producer T P Aggarwal reveals, "Sanjay Dutt is one of the first to arrive on the sets here in Chennai and among the last to leave. We're shooting some dramatic scenes and later we will shift to Hyderabad for some complicated action sequences. Sanjay is keeping strict vigilance over his schedules. He's with us all through January until the first week of February. If we continue to shoot at this pace we would be done ahead of schedule." Aggarwal also reveals that Dutt has stopped doing films for emotional reasons. "Now I think Sanjay is working only in the projects that he feels are right for his career. His films may have failed. He never lost his fan following."
Says a friend of Sanjay Dutt, "Baba's life is now the kids. And he wants them to have the ideal uncorrupted upbringing that his parents (Sunil Dutt and Nargis) had aspired to. Baba won't do anything that would influence and affect his twins adversely." When confronted by the new cleaned-out Sanjay Dutt defended himself stoutly, "I am working very hard. Which hero besides Akshay Kumar arrives on the sets on the dot? The idea is to do quality work, and not just go by the clock. I am doing that. I am investing my entire time concentration and energy into working correctly."
