Shah Rukh Khan is to perform at an event in the UK on January 26. Coinciding with India's Republic Day, the Bollywood actor will take part in the live concert with a number of other British Asian celebrities. "Hi guys and girls, it's Shah Rukh here," the star announced in a promotional video, adding: "I'm coming to Birmingham, so come and join me for a great evening on Saturday 26 January at the CSN International Exhibition Centre."

Staged by Lockdown Promotions UK, the event will also feature a gala dinner and Q&A session with Khan. The actor later went on to add: "Love to see you all there, keep it rocking with Lockdown." VIP ticket holders will also have the chance to interact personally with the Indian cinema star. Khan is currently in India filming on Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express with Deepika Padukone.
