Bobby Singh dies, aged 38 - Bollywood stars pay tribute

The cinematographer - who worked on films such as Woh Lamhe, Life in a... Metro, Gangster and The Dirty Picture - died on Christmas Day in Goa after suffering an asthma attack. He was 38.

Writing on Twitter, Akshay Kumar said: "Shocked to hear about the sad demise of our film Special Chabbis cinematographer Bobby Singh. He was very talented and pleasant to work with. It just seems like yesterday when we were shooting. May his soul rest in peace." 
 
Manoj Bajpayee tweeted: "Shattered to hear the untimely demise of our friend cameraman Bobby Singh! May he rest in peace! God please give strength to his family. We worked together in Special Chabbis. Can't believe this shocking news." Jimmy Sheirgill said: "Shocked to hear about 38-year-old Bobby Singh, ace cinematographer passing away. We worked together on Special Chabbis. Can't believe he has gone." 
 
Gangs of Wasseypur director Anurag Kashyap wrote: "RIP Bobby Singh. Incredible cinematographer of Gangster, Life In A... Metro and now Queen. Too young to die. Would see him every morning out for a jog when I was holed up writing Ugly in Amsterdam."
