Cricket and Films are next to religion in India and have huge fan following in every segment of the society and now Celebrity Cricket (CCL) has successfully married the two. The third year league is even bigger with the Star Network having bought the telecast rights of CCL.Celebrities Sohail Khan, Bipasha Basu, Riteish Deshmukh came together to announce that this year CCL will be telecast on eight channels of the Star network in eight languages. The tournament will be hosted from February 9 to March 10, 2013.

Vishnu Vardhan Induri, founder and managing director, CCL, said, "CCL 3 is going to be a pan India property as we have teams from across the country participating this year and 8 channels of Star network helping us reach more audience across the nation compared to earlier seasons."

Bipasha Basu, the newly appointed brand ambassador for CCL-3 who seemed super excited about the coming season said, "I have always been very interested in fitness and sports and Celebrity cricket league is a superb concept where celebrities who are passionate about the sport get to play, I can't wait for the season to begin and will be attending as many matches as possible."

CCL is a 20-20 league cricket property involving superstars from the feature film fraternity. It is a seriously competitive league involving film industries from Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bhojpuri, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali. With skyrocketing Trp's of CCL-2 in south CCL has caught the attention of star network which has channels in 6 regional languages along with 3 in south. The average Trp's of CCL-2 in Tamil Nadu was 6.5 Tvr in Karnataka it was 5.5 Tvr , in Andhra Pradesh it was 5.2 Tvr and Kerala was 5.4 Tvr on Sun Tv and Udaya Tv where as the accumulated viewership of CCL-2 final in Bengaluru was about 15 Tvr.

Two new teams have been added from the Marathi region and Bhojpuri regions. Super stars including Mohan Lal, Sunil Shetty, Venkatesh, Vishal, Sudeep, Jeet, Riteish Deshmukh and Manoj Tiwari make this league bridge the gap between sports and entertainment.

With film industries from different regions competing to be the cricket champions of the year we are sure there will be loads of excitement to look forward in the third season of CCL.
