In August 2011, while millions of his fans prayed back home, Salman Khan underwent a surgery for trigeminal neuralgia in the United States of America. And after a five-hour long operation, and a few weeks of recuperation, the actor was back on the sets to shoot for the several projects that were lined up.

Though he had reportedly complained of 'jaw pain' on and off since then, Salman had been fit and fine. And now, TOI has learnt that the actor is ready to visit US again. Come January, Salman will fly out of the country - this time for a regular health check up.

A source told TOI, "Salman's condition needs him to undergo regular check ups. It's nothing serious. Just a routine follow up. He is fit and will start shooting Sohail's film soon."

Incidentally, last time when the actor visited US for a surgery, he had missed Ganpati (a festival celebrated with a lot of fanfare in the Khan household) and the premiere of his film Bodyguard. This time, we learnt he would be leaving for US on January 22 when the actor doesn't have any film promotion, premiere or festival lined up.
