Barely 15-minute performance by Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor at the Rajyotsav, organised here by the Chhattisgarh government to mark 12th foundation day of the state last month, has fetched her Rs 1.40 crore, according to an official statement.

The Kareena dance show, scheduled to run for two hours, had been curtailed to hardly 15 minutes due to torrential rains. A statement, laid in the assembly here by state culture minister Brij Mohan Agrawal, said Rs  5.21 crore had been spent on actors and various cultural troupes by the state government for their performances at the occasion.

Singers Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chouhan and Himesh Reshammiya rece-ived `36.50 lakh, `32 lakh and `24 lakh respectively for their performances.
