Actress continues to count her blessings as she denies any plans to don grease paint any time soon. Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently on a trip to the Indian state of Gujarat which will go to the polls shortly.

Aishwarya Rai clueless on fuss over Aaradhya

However, the former Miss World is busy doing what she does best - smile for her fans and for the cameras - in this case, news channels - as she graces a jewellery showroom in Vadodara. The actress told her fans how she loves Gujarat and all things Guajarati and came to know the state's culture while playing the role of Nandini (a Gujarati girl) in the film 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', reports The Times of India.

Moving on to her favourite subject, her year-old daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, the actress told the gathered media that she simply does not understand the world's obsession with her little angel. The doting mother said: "I feel like I know about every little aspect of motherhood already. I feel blessed to have Aaradhya in our lives.

However, I don't quite understand the obsession about her and it's amusing when people ask me what we want her to become once she grows up. Aaradhya's parents want her to enjoy her childhood and her growing up years before they even ponder on what she will become when she grows up.

She added: "As a mother, I look at my parents for inspiration. If I can do even half of what they did for me, I will be a supermom!" The actress has been on a sabbatical ever since her father-in-law announced her pregnancy one-and-a-half years ago. She has admitted that she is reading film scripts but she is enjoying her special time with her child and simply counting her blessings and staying away from controversies.

However, the actress did move away from her comfort zone and gush about the state's chief minister, Narendra Modi, thereby raising fairly large number of eyebrows. Aishwarya is known to stay away from politics, though this time she could not refrain  from praising the man who has given the state a new lease of life and taken it to impossible heights in the last few years.

While the Bachchan family has tried to maintain a distance with active politics after father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan's dismal tryst with politics in the 1980s, they can hardly stay away with mom-in-law Jaya Bachchan being a Rajya Sabha member and a bona fide member of Indian political party - Samajwadi Party (SP). Big B himself is the brand ambassador of Gujarat but he stays away from Gujarat's political matters.
