Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif might have been born and brought up on foreign land but that has hardly been a deterrent for her in pursuing a career in Bollywood. During her formative years, Katrina travelled to eight-nine countries which she believes built her personality and helped when it came to adapting in different cultures.
“I have been to eight-nine countries during first 12 years of my life. This has made me extremely adaptable,” said Katrina who was in Gurgaon to launch the web portal of jewellery brand Gitanjali.
The Hindi film industry is often termed as ‘male-dominated’. However, for this 28-year-old actress, there is no relevance of this concept and all one needs is good and professional work. Having worked with the three Khans – Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir, in upcoming Dhoom 3, the question of who is the best among the trio was bound to come to her.
Replying diplomatically she said they are equal in terms of talent and stardom. “It is difficult to answer who is the best... but yes, the common thing among them is talent and stardom,” said Katrina, whose latest film was Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture, Jab Tak Hai Jaan with SRK.
Dubbing the ‘top place’ as a ‘different altitude’, Katrina said she was never under pressure to be on the top. “Frankly, I don’t feel very much in the top slot. When it comes to life beyond work and profession, I prefer to be in the company of my friends, most of whom are not actors.” she said. Katrina revealed her plans of shooting for her new film in the City come February. She also added that a lot of effort is being put in to make Dhoom 3 a big success.
