After ace actor Aamir Khan, its Salman Khan's turn to make an appearance one of the longest running TV show, CID. Aamir who plays a cop in his latest release Talaash helped CID investigate a mystery as a part of promotions. As Salman too plays an inspector in his forthcoming film Dabangg 2, he is also set to enter the serial as Inspector Chulbul Pandey, the character he plays in Dabangg.

This wouldn't be Khan's first trip to the show. Earlier, he gave a visit to CID while promoting his 2009 release Wanted. Earlier, film's director Arbaaz Khan (Salman's brother) released film's first look on Bigg Boss season 6.

The film is a sequel to Salman's 2012 release Dabangg. However, the actor asserts that Dabangg 2 is not a copy of the first film and the audience should consider it as a movie after interval. He said, "It's not the same. We are not copying and giving you the same picture. It's a different film".

"Dabangg was of a particular genre and now a similar genre film is coming out Dabangg 2," he said on the sets of Bigg Boss 6 where he launched the item song Fevicol Se featuring Kareena Kapoor. Asked why he chose to promote the film on on Bigg Boss, he said, "I am the host of Bigg Boss.

Wherever I get time and wherever the channel feels that 'Dabangg 2' promotions can be done, they do it." Dabangg 2 stars Sonakshi Sinha opposite Salman and it will hit the theatres on December 21.
