The Mayor of London Boris Johnson met up with a few leading filmmakers of Bollywood including Sajid Naidadwala in Mumbai earlier this week to ask them to shoot more films in the UK. Sajid was more than happy to accept the London Mayor's invitation to shoot in London and has decided that 2 of his forthcoming biggies namely Kick and Housefull 3 will be shot in London.
The Mayor of London was ecstatic when Sajid agreed whole-heartedly. "I loved the fact that Sajid Nadiadwala shot two editions of his film Housefull in UK and is coming back to London to shoot the third film in the franchise. I am also excited that he plans to shoot his maiden directorial venture Kick as well in London."
Excited about once again shooting in London, Sajid Nadiadwala said, "I love to shoot in London and the fact that I am back to shoot my third and fourth film there is proof that the place is great and I have no complaints. I just wish that they reduce the pound rate as compared to the rupee"
Kick and Housefull 3 will be shot at a budget of around 35 million pounds in the UK which is over Rs 300 crores in Indian rupees. Sajid, who will be shooting his maiden directorial venture Kick starring Salman Khan in London, is developing the script in that manner with his team of writers led by Chetan Bhagat. The filmmaker wants a much swankier look for the film and opted for the bigger and plusher locales of London.
