Shenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, young at 70 star, solaces son, Abhishek Bachchan, after catching up with his scintillating and powerful performance in Guru that aired on DD on 24th Nov, 2012.
Sr Bachchan not only feels proud of his performance but was also moved by Abhishek’s acting skills. For him Guru is Abhishek’s best performance till date. Amitji tweeted “Sat with Abhishek and caught ‘Guru’ on DD, and still filled with pride on his performance, the film and its making.Teary at end!”
AB Sr feels odd that Abhishek didn’t get awarded for his performance in Guru, but also feels that the same happened with him and Dilip Kumar. He went on to say, “Not a single award came his way for ‘Guru’, I console him by saying not a single award came my way for ‘Deewar’, nor to Dilip Saheb for ‘Gunga Jamuna’, which to me has been his best ever.”
The words of wisdom from the megastar to Abhishek and all are, “Matters not whether someone else recognizes your potential for award, what matters is whether you found your potential worthy”.
Kudos to AB senior, his aggrandized stardom and ever increasing wisdom is what is appreciated by one and all. His take on petty things and life makes all realize the aura AB Senior has and his stature of a humble human being, plus, his grounded and down to earth attitude makes him the most respectable one.
