Kajol is helping her husband Ajay Devgan to learn Marathi. Whereas Delhi Belly has been in the news for its dialogues and language used in the film, one other film that is making news for somewhat similar reason is Rohit Shetty’s Singham that stars Ajay Devgn in the lead role. No, before you get it wrong and start thinking wild, you need to get it straight that Singham does not use the abusive language that was heard in Delhi Belly. On the other hand, this film is in news because playing a character of Marathi origin, Ajay has spoken a lot of dialogues in that particular language in Singham.

Speaking in Marathi could have been a real big challenge for Ajay because in real life the actor does not belong to a Marathi family and is not fluent in it. Moreover, even the little of the language that Ajay knows, his accent is not such that he can be called a person of Marathi background.

But he did have an advantage given that Ajay’s wife Kajol belongs to a Marathi family and knows the language very well. So, taking advantage of the fact that her wife is a Marathi Ajay turned to her to improve his accent and let him get proper command over it.

Since he had to shoot for the film, Ajay did not have time to learn the full language. But given the fact that he had some particular dialogues in the film where he was supposed to use some Marathi words. Ajay took those dialogues to his wife and asked Kajol to help him pronounce those words in a proper way. So, when you hear Ajay speak some effluent Marathi in in Singham, you know who’s behind it, his wife Kajol.
