Fed up of the controversies surrounding the Diwali battle between Son Of Sardaar (SOS) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ), Ajay has left with Kajol and his two children for a holiday in Goa, thereby killing two birds with one stone.

He not only avoided any further post-release comparisons and controversies, he also managed to get his wife out of the dilemma regarding attending the premiere of Yashraj Films' Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Says a source, "Ajay, Kajol and family would be in Goa, until the whole SOS-JTHJ controversies and comparisons cool down." When contacted, director Ashwin Dhir chose to be diplomatic about the big Diwali box office battle.

Says the director: "All I'll say is that I firmly believe there's room for two big films during Diwali. Haven't Indra Kumar's Ishq and Rajkumar Santoshi's Ghayal done well on the same Friday? And what about Lagaan and Gadar Ek Prem Katha? They were both blockbusters on the same Friday? I sincerely want both SOS and Jab Tak Hai Jaan to be big successes."
