Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek got injured when they went to visit ailing Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray on Wednesday, Nov 14. Confirming reports over his injury, Big B tweeted, "Yes both Abhishek and me were injured with cuts, but are fine and back home the doctors at 'Matoshree' attended on us !"
Big B along with his son reached 'Matoshree', residence of the Thackerays, on Wednesday night when doctors informed that health condition of the Sena chief deteriorated. Thackeray, who is ailing for sometime, continues to be under constant medical supervision. A team of doctors stationed inside `Matoshree' with nursing staff has been taking care of the Sena patriarch who is having breathing problems.
The Bollywood star in his tweets also stated about the relation between the Bachchans and Thackerays. Starting from tough phase of his life when he got severe injuries during shooting of his movie Coolie to his alleged involvement in Bofors scam, Mr Bachchan received strong support from the Sena chief.
"When I fought for my life after 'Coolie' accident, he came to visit me in hospital, with a cartoon he had drawn - Yamraj defeated !" tweeted the star and also added, "When I was flown in to Mumbai from Bangalore in semi conscious state after 'Coolie' accident, it was his ambulance that took me to BC."
Talking about Bal Thackeray's uninterrupted support for him, Mr Bachchan said, "When the Bofors Scandal accusations on us were at its peak, he called me home and asked "tell me the truth, are you involved ? When I said "NO !", he said "Then do not worry about anything. I am with you. You are an actor, go do what you are best at."
