The showmakers decided to spice up the television show in order to ensure that the TRPs do not spiral down. Towards this end, they hit upon the idea of introducing the late Dev Anand discovery and Bollywood starlet Mink Brar to do the needful. She is currently taking a 'break' from her oh-so busy schedule.

BIGG BOSS, Can Mink spice up Salman's show

SPICE UP BIGG BOSS: No stranger to controversies and raunchy numbers, Mink is the wild-card entry of Bigg Boss 6. Her primary job is to add spice to what has been termed the dullest-ever contestants in the house. The lack of waves or controversies is not good for the future health of the show.

Before entering the house, Mink spoke to Hindustan Times in detail.“I am going in for the masala. I think I will add a lot of Punjabi tadka to the show, which is needed at this point. They need someone to be lively and to liven up the house as well.” She also confessed that she did not have enough time to go on a shopping spree, but she did manage to pick up a 'nice gown' and her perfumes and body lotions.

DARK ENTRY: Mink sneaked into the house in a black gown, with a red suitcase in tow at night on November 4, which was coincidentally also her birthday, while other contestants were fast asleep. Now that she has become a part of the 'house', what can the Bigg Boss followers expect from the contestant who has been selected to shake things up in the reality series?

Mink will hopefully raise the so far non-existent oomph factor of the 'family-oriented' edition as she does not plan to be 'overdressed'. Well, let's wait and watch what is her definition of 'comfortable' clothes. The audience is certainly going to get an eyeful if her Bollywood item numbers are anything to go fall back on.

Confident of her capability to handle any situation in the house, Mink feels she has taken a career defining decision and it could make or break her career - depending on how far she is successful in adding zing to the show.

She is certainly not lacking on the confidence quotient. She feels she has a great personality and lifestyle and she would get on like a house on fire with other housemates. Let's hope she is equally confident about carrying out her share of chores inside the house.

Meanwhile, Mink has chakled out her first job inside the house. She plans to tame the rebellious former cricketer, Navjot Singh Sidhu and make him toe the official line on evictions as he had signed the contract before entering the house.

Watch this space to find out if Mink is able to add some north-Indian spice to the really uninspiring, mixed bag of contestants. He is survived by his widow, two daughters and four sons.
