In an exclusive conversation with TOI, Reema clears the air about her rift with Aamir. "There is absolutely no rift with Aamir. I have respect for the actor. To be honest, there is no problem. In fact, there might be something that didn't work for them in the script and that's ok with me," said the director.
Aamir being Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood were there any kind of creative differences? "I never had those issues with Aamir and in fact, had greatest time working with him. He has helped me during the film and is very supportive and co operative. Today I think I have made the film that I had set out to make," answered Reema.
Reema denies the reports doing round that Aamir was not the first choice to play Surjan Singh Shekhawat in 'Talaash'. "There were lot of reports in media about actors, who were going to do the film, but the fact is that no one was supposed to play Aamir's part," asserted Reema.
"When Zoya and me had initially written the film, we had Aamir in mind. However, he was busy with 'Ghajini' and later he also told me that he will be doing a short film which was 'Dhobi Ghat'. Since, Aamir was busy we approached few people, but nothing worked as such. Later, Aamir got free and we took sometime out and discussed the script and that's when he said yes," added the director.
