Actor Akshay Kumar and ace choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan shared a strong bond until “Joker” bombed at the box office. The film failed miserably and people who were held culpable for its poor performance were both Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Shirish Kunder.

It was reported that Akshay had backed out of the promotions of the film because “Akshay was not happy with Shirish’s depiction of the story since the very beginning,” a source had told a daily.

When asked about her reaction to how things went wrong, Farah said, “I really don’t want to say anything about it. I just feel that actors need to be a little more responsible. Both Shirish and I have moved on. That’s why we don’t want to give interviews on this particular subject.

This is my stand on the whole issue. As a producer, I did whatever I could to promote the film. But when the actor washes his hands off, it sends the wrong signal to everyone. If you are in a project and have taken money for it, you ought to be there till the end.” We wonder what Akshay thinks about Farah’s take!
